摘要:本文是一篇高中英语教学论文,本文基于对两类教师的访谈和背景资料,两类教师自我效能感差异的因素如下:学校性质不同(福利、师资、进修、工作晋升、社会流动);由于学校性质的不同,导致教学年龄、学历、职称的差异,导致知识储备的不同;不同的教学水平;两类教师挖掘教材的能力不同,对新课程标准的理解和接受也不同。访谈还表明,教学培训和优质课程观察是提高教师自我效能感的重要途径。

本文是一篇高中英语教学论文,本研究仅采用问卷调查和访谈进行分析,没有课堂观察。单一的研究方法导致研究结果不够全面。此外,本研究仅考察了教师在一定时期内的两种自我效能感,而教师自我效能感的发展是一个动态的过程,因此本研究的结论只能代表一定时期的效果,而不是历时性和发展性的。


Chapter 1 Introduction


1.1 Background of the Research

In 2017, China issued the English Curriculum Standards For Senior HighSchools. The new Curriculum Standards requires that English Education should focuson cultivating students’ core qualities and comprehensive language application ability,as well as their innovative spirit and social responsibility. The new CurriculumStandards points out the reform direction of English classroom teaching, but the ideaultimately needs to be implemented by teachers in real classroom teaching. Therefore,it is particularly important for teachers to correctly understand and implement the ideaput forward in the new Curriculum Standards. Senior high school is the most criticalperiod for students to receive education, during which teachers’ education will havean important impact on their learning. Teacher’s self-efficacy refers to teachers’subjective judgment, feeling and confidence on whether they are capable ofcompleting classroom teaching tasks and promoting students’ all-round development.Teachers’ self-efficacy will affect their teaching behaviors, work enthusiasm andefforts, and ultimately affect the education of students. Teachers with highself-efficacy will be confident in their own teaching and have the motivation toimprove their professional level. They will rebuild and update their teaching ideas inconstant reflection, so that they can better adapt to the requirements of the newCurriculum Standards for teachers and carry out more effective classroom teaching.With the rapid development of China’s social economy, the marketization of education has become a hot issue. Private senior high schools play a more and moreimportant role in education. Private teachers have become the backbone of education,they are important teachers that can not be ignored in the education field. Education inthe current era allows public and private senior high schools shine together. Therefore,promoting teachers in two types of schools of different nature to learn from each otherand jointly enhance their sense of self-efficacy is an urgent need to improve seniorhigh school English education, and it is also a topic worthy of our in-depth study.


1.2 Purposes and Significance of the Research

This study aims to investigate the current situation of the self-efficacy of publicand private senior high school English teachers, find out the differences andsimilarities of the self-efficacy of public and private English teachers throughcomparative study, and then further study the reasons for the differences andsimilarities in the self-efficacy of the two types of teachers through in-depthinterviews. This research is aimed at exploring the enlightenment of teachers’self-efficacy on the promotion of teachers’ professional development through theanswers to the above questions, and providing some feasible suggestions for teachersto improve their self-efficacy.

This research has certain theoretical and practical significance.
